A volumetric mixer truck carries sand, stone, cement and water in separate bins and mixes concrete on the jobsite (ASTM C685), so you can stop when you have enough.
How is it different from ready-mix?
Ready-mix is batched at a plant and delivered in a rotating drum (ASTM C94). Volumetric is batched on site.
